Here is a summary of the walks.

All the walks will start at Portinscale

Brief Description  ---------

Walk 1 - Cat Bells Terrace returning by Derwent Water, approx 8miles,

+/- 1100ft ascent, moderate

From Portinscale we join The Cumbrian Way and gradually ascend through the woods to Hawes End. Here we join the Terrace path which contours the side of Cat Bells- extensive views in fine weather. We continue along a firm track then down through Brandelhow (Teddy in the Window) to Manesty. At Manesty we cross the end of the lake via the Chinese Bridge and on to the road at Lodore. From Lodore we follow the road and lakeside paths back to Keswick. Great views over to Cat Bells. Mainly good paths with some rocky sections and a slightly tricky fallen tree. Care must be taken where there is no footpath on the road sections.
