Brief Description

Two main steady climbs with one steep section. An interesting walk with good views. Starting from the Clough House carpark we climb steadily by the Cumberland brook, soon reaching the highest point on the walk and then it is mainly down hill to Three shires Head. We continue down into the Dane valley to Gradbach Mill, once a YHA hostel but now appartments. We then commence climbing up the opposite side of the valley. Here we have a short steep section then a more gentle climb. Once at the top it is a generally level walk back to the carpark. Can be muddy in places.
