From the road leading to Rivington Hall Barn (the top barn) we make a slight ascent to the Pinetum, we then follow the main track in the direction of Rivington & Blackrod High School. Shortly before reaching the school we drop down to the road, then take the track to Liverpool Castle. We then follow the shore of Lower Rivington Reservoir to Horrobin Lane, cross over and take the bridleway to Yarrow Reservoir. We descend the path near the overflow to the damn at the southern end of Anglezarke Reservoir.We then take the private road along the western side of Upper Rivington Reservoir back to Horrobin Lane and return to our starting point. |
