Brief Description

From the Drive we make our way up to the Pigeon Tower (the paths are not particularly steep, but very stony in parts and progress can be slow. (Ascent is approx. 700ft. over two miles) From there we take Belmont Road, a track on the edge of Rivington Moor. This track is cobbled. Cross a minor Road and head for Lower Hempshaw's, a ruin (this section will be muddy in parts). From there we follow good tracks to Lead Mines Clough, walk along the side of Yarrow Reservoir and then back to Rivington village and the carpark.
