Brief Description |
We start by crossing the rail footbridge and passing through the local nature reserve. Then a gentle ascent up to Craken Edge. Here we take a path under Chinley Churn for about a mile. We then drop down to Peek-o-Day farm. We cross the A624 and pick up the Pennine Bridleway, gradually ascending to South Head (optional climb). We continue along the PBW until reaching Beet Lane which we follow down to Chapel Milton. From here we follow the back Brook over fields to the disused tramway which we follow back to Chinley, |
