Brief Description

Redesmere is a popular lake, a focal point for bird life and watersports. Starting our walk along the lane the route skirts through woodland on the eastern side of the lake, to reach and cross the main road. This route across fields will give us views of Capesthorne Hall. From Mill Lane, the fields and woodland paths lead through a dell full of bluebells to reach Siddington Village. From here we enter another small wood and emerge onto Salters Lane, Siddington Heath. Leaving the lane we navigate across the fields and eventually reach and cross the main road. A firm track leads to Sandbank and Northwood Farms and we follow the Historic Parish footpath to Siddington Church and back to the car park. It is a circular walk through leafy Cheshire, footpaths, tracks, fields and woodland with two brief stretches on quiet lanes. A revised route after problems with some footpaths since last year.
