Sunday 10th Feb - walk B details

Location: South of Bollington

Leader Keith Leslie
Depart Time Stretford 9:30am
Travel Time 30 mins
Grade Moderate/Easy
Distance 7 mile
Map White Peak OL24
Postcode SK10-5PW
Grid Ref SJ937-779

Brief Description The walk is over the rolling undulating countryside south of Bollington. There are two minor ascents, the first is very easy and gradual but has a short steeper section at the top end of Kerridge village and the second is a gradual climb over fields north of Rainow of about 100ft. Our route is along the canal towpath to clear Bollington, field paths to Swanscoe Hall, a very gradual ascent on good paths to the old part of Kerridge village, a good track around the base of White Nancy (we don’t climb up!) tracks towards Rainow returning via Savio House.
